About World Wide Schools.

World wide schools has been online since 2003. The number of pages has grown to over 500, and we get around 100,000 page views each month, with around 500 new visitors each day. It was started by an international educator with nearly 20 years teaching experience in U.K, and I.B. curricula, in different international schools around the world.

The aim of World Wide Schools is to continue to build and maintain a website that contains information of use to parents and teachers. The content has been supplied from the schools themselves either directly or from their websites. The schools' pages have been organized in such a way that each school in a particular country can be reached by a single click from any other school page in the same country as the list of schools is a side menu on each page. The low use of images and the emphasis on textual content means that the pages will load quickly. Each page is around 15 kB in size. The pages are static html pages, and each page has been coded individually using templates for different countries so there are no database generated pages.

The intention is to update the pages once a week, however with familyand work commitments, i.e. two young children and a full time teaching post, the pages are updated rather infrequently at the moment. So, apologies if you have a long wait before your page is included/updated or before I get the chance to reply to you. If you are the representative of a school and wish the school's details to be included in World Wide Schools Directory of International Schools, details can be found on the add school page.
