Renaissance College - a new school which is the result of collaboration
between ESF and the HKSAR Government. Renaissance College will open
for students in September 2006 and ultimately provide an all-through
education for 2,100 students aged 5 to 18 years.
The College is a co-educational 'through train' school offering
choices of subjects that lead to international accreditation. All
three programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organisation
(IBO) will be followed, culminating in the International Baccalaureate
Diploma. The school will provide a bilingual and triliterate program,
with emphasis on both the language and cultural aspects. As part
of the formal curriculum, students will take immersion programmes
in China during long holidays to strengthen their language proficiency
and enhance their understanding of different cultures.
With advanced design and facilities, Renaissance College is testament
to ESF’s continuing contribution to the future of quality education
in Hong Kong featuring first-class amenities such as a dedicated
sports centre with sports hall and swimming pool; cafeteria, library
and performance arts centre; and high-level infrastructure for Information
and Communication Technology.
Renaissance College is ideally located at Ma On Shan with excellent
public transport links. The Heng On Station on the KCR Ma On Shan
Rail, is only minutes from the school and will be connected directly
to the school by a subway. A number of buses also pass the school,
and as a result a large area of the New Territories and Kowloon
are within 30 minutes traveling time.
