International Schools in NorwayThis is the online directory with the main international schools in Norway
that offer an Education in English. The programmes vary from the International
Baccalaureate (I.B.) programme, which includes PYP, MYP and Diploma to
the British GCSE and GCE examination systems. All international schools
in Norway are required to satisfy the requirements of the Norweigan national
system. International Baccalaureate DiplomaNorwegian universities and colleges recognise the IB Diploma as fulfilling the general admission requirements for entry to all institutions of higher education. However, some study programmes require that the candidates have taken specific IB subjects. Applicants who have not had their basic education in Norway, must take Norwegian A, A2 or B at minimum Standard level as part of, or in addition to, their IB Diploma. Norway has a system of coordinated admission to universities, state colleges and some private colleges. Applicants to these institutions send one application form only to the Universities and Colleges Admission Service. One can apply for up to 15 different study programmes. The application deadline is 1 March for IB diploma holders and 15 April for non-IB students.
